Free Cab Rides: Be Safe this Holiday Season - use a Cab

ith New Year's Eve quickly approaching, I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone to be responsible. We are all gearing up to celebrate the New Year. Parties will be held, music will play and alcohol will be consumed. Unfortunately, if you aren't home for the festivities, you'll have to get home somehow. The bad news is that police Officers from the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Sheriff's Office and the Indiana State Police will be out patrolling the streets, looking for impaired drivers.

If you are attending a New Year's Eve party, whether at a bar, club or home, use a designated driver or call a cab. Fortunately, you won't have to pay for a taxi cab ride in Fort Wayne this holiday season. According to this release from the City of Fort Wayne, the Holiday Cab safe ride program is returning for it's 24th year. The program began on December 15, 2011 and will run until January 1, 2012 at 3:00 a.m. Call (260) 460-4710 if you need a ride. Be smart, call a cab, don't get arrested for Drunk Driving (DUI/OWI).

However, if you, a friend or family member is charged with an offense, call me, I will be happy to answer any questions.
