The Indiana State Police will be participating in a multi-state Drunk Driving (DUI/OWI) enforcement campaign this weekend. Indiana Troopers, along with State Police in Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virgina. According to the Indiana State Police, they will be using sobriety check points and saturation patrols in areas known to have a high number of drunk drivers.
Be careful on the roads this weekend. Based upon the sobriety checkpoints, I anticipate seeing a larger than usual number of traffic arrests in the Fort Wayne area this weekend. Arrests and citations for Drunk Driving (DUI/OWI), Driving While Suspended, Habitual Traffic Violators and equipment violations.
